Back

"When asked if i could find a picture of me to put on the back cover of my work, i tried to find one that is accurate of who i am as a person. Society’s sacramental scars had their effect upon me at a very early age, but i believe that in this photo i am still that innocent soul which we all attempt to regain while surviving in this cruel - at times - world.

Although, not much has changed. i still wear a Mohawk and i still read the classics, now i think i may have written one.

So, i bid you welcome to my world... and may you enjoy your stay.

<end of back cover>

Dear friends

i'll let you know i feel that God and i have spent many lifetimes together trying to assist misguided souls (especially my own!) and it looks like it's happening again. All the while, as i searched for spiritual answers, i could never understand the drawing to 'religious' factions that preach everything but love, (which is the very 'meaning' of God) and i found out at a very early age that words in America lie, and sometimes the actions are untrue. i've grown weary of watching wonderful women weave wickedness. Moreover, most men i've met move between a masochist and a model of Marquis DeSade, mostly middle movers which is what i was... but the painful truth is that no one needs to be anyone but themselves i have found.  Early in my years i was taught that the animal human is 'intelligent' and not such a greedy lot, i do believe in what it is i have seen... i no longer believe what i was taught.

Because of those social escapades (such a 'nice' word) and countless others is why i wrote 'one-of-us'. A title with no capitals because i am no longer capitalistic*. Really none of 'us' are, but the capitalistic mind control system fools most everyone into behaving like evil game playing children.

Contained within my 425 pages is a beginning framework of a world where love really is all you need, as long as... love = honor and respect!  i'll show you that God is a circle and all things are possible. And then i'll show you the precious budding of a way of life and living where God takes a more 'Godlike' position rather than the vindictive human God we've grown so uncomfortable believing in.

My God (who is my father and mother because of the omnipotent relation to my circle theory) does not care what name you use, my 'parents' only care about where your heart is at. My father/mother is ALL knowing. She even knows why your life is special... unless it is hollow. But then again, the world would not be very fulfilling without the hollow people showing up from time to time. It does give us an chance to show our 'higher selves'... right? So, i guess in some small way of reinforcing my circle theory, even those moments have a purpose!

Where we are going to and where we are from are the same. Our time here is separate only in form.  Soon we will be one again.  After reading what i've written thus far you should understand how love is the only law we truly deserve... or is that what your spiritual guidance counselor said heaven is for? If that is what they said to you, they are wrong as wrong can be.

We can live in love (eden/heaven)!  Right here right now in this life, no need to wait for a life-after.

Just give me a few nights with a reading light and i'll tell you all about it.

* and it's why i refrain from using a capitol letter 'i', i know it's confusing at times, but it's just me being me.

Elliott has something to say in his autobiography "one-of-us, The Reluctant Goldwyn".

The first part of his book describes his adventures growing up in Orange County, California with affluent and dysfunctional parents who taught him to do as they do and not as they say.

Disillusioned when young by his parents divorce and other falsehoods, he left home to experience life on the streets of L.A. to become exactly what his parents were to him - liars and cheats.

After surviving a near fatal motorcycle accident as a young adult, Elliott returned from the "White Light" with the added rigors of how to relearn the most basic details of life, and with the vision and answers to the problems of the world.  As Elliott likes to say, "and the struggles ensued."

The second part of the book finds Elliott using his past experiences and new insights to survive the traps of society which we have all experienced. He combines his teachings with his poetic passion for humanity and gives us the answers for which we might not have even known we were searching. Often Elliott can foresee societal and personal traps even before I do.  He is able to describe in detail the reason why certain experiences occur, and how to avoid them in the future.  His solutions are simple in nature because he says it's the problems that are confusing. He is tired of clichés, lies and the separateness from each other the "games" force us to play. My life has been greatly enhanced by having Elliott in it.

As Elliott has said to me, he's glad when a reader enjoys his life's' follies contained within his autobiography, but is delighted beyond belief when the reader grasps his greater message.

His greatest fear is being misunderstood.

Elliott's solutions speak of an 'Eden' of sorts, and many people may not be ready to hear his message. Be patient with his book as it jumps and rambles as does his mind, but the truth is in it and will show itself in his love for everyone of us and the world on which we live.

Elliott constantly questions the meaning of life, and in those queries he's found his quintessence.

As he says in his book, "Love is all you need, now let me show you how that is true..."

corrections i've found so far:

errors in publication of 'one-of-us' i have found, and my subsequent begging for forgiveness... tee hee hee! ;)

when i sent the manuscript off to be published some changes were made in error.  i'm sure i never ended a paragraph without a period, and then begin the next with the last few words from the un-ended one above it... but that occurred a few times... and this is my asking for your understanding... (cuz i ain't gonna pay them to fix it!)

ie. pg. 290 the fourth paragraph should not start with 'no respect...'   it seems to almost lose it's meaning at that point.  my head injury makes me try to keep a point to a paragraph most times... in fact this and the few spelling errors i've located (which actually says a lot for me) were not in the carbon copy of my story i sent to the presses, this probably affects me more than you... but i am sorry.

thank you,
